Scandic Diesel Services

Continuous Emissions Monitoring System

Scandic Diesel Services is the Canadian representative for WR Systems for the product line of:

Emsys™ Continuous Emissions Monitoring System.

WRSystems has developed new technology to assist the maritime industry meet MARPOL Annex VI Maritime Emissions Regulations. The Emsys™ , a continuous emissions monitoring system, is a laser and optics-driven, single-enclosure device that can continuously monitor emissions and provide automated analysis and data recordings from multiple engine exhaust stacks and boilers for marine applications. The Emsys™ allows operators of marine-fueled engines the ability to monitor, analyze, and record emissions simultaneously from all engine exhaust stacks.

As well as providing the requisite data for vessel and fleet owners to enter the emissions trading market, Emsys™ is a minimally invasive, cost-effective unit that will demonstrate compliance with the upcoming MARPOL Annex VI Emissions Requirements. Amendments to the MARPOL Annex VI regulations will reduce the allowable emissions of SOx, NOx, CO2 and PM from maritime vessels.

Scandic Diesel Services can be your emissions monitoring solutions provider to help you in protecting the environment and prevent costly fines for infractions due to regulatory non-compliance.

About Emsys™

A unique 2nd generation technology combining Particulate Matter (PM) and gas emissions measurement to meet MARPOL Annex VI Maritime Emissions Regulations and North American Emission Control Area (ECA) Particulate Matter Regulations.

The Emsys™ Continuous Emissions Monitoring System is a laser-optic, sensor-driven single enclosure device that continuously monitors emissions and provides automated analysis and data recordings from multiple smokestacks and boilers in marine applications. W R Systems, Ltd. (WRSystems), developed the new technology to help the maritime industry comply with MARPOL Annex VI Maritime Emissions Regulations. Emsys™ allows operators of marine-fueled engines to continuously monitor, analyze, and record emissions from all engine exhaust stacks simultaneously. It analyzes and records nitrogen oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2), and carbon dioxide (CO2), particulate matter (PM), and other gases such as CO, as specified.
In addition, Global Positioning System (GPS) interface data and electronic charting tracks actual vessel position to aid in voyage compliance management
within Emission Control Area (ECA) zones.
