Established as O.M.C. s.r.l. in 1962. All the founder members are Italian and with a background in the diesel injection automotive field. In 1965 the OMC production of elements, nozzles and d/valves achieves a significant goal thanks to a very important co-operation with a major OEM in UK. In the same period OMC starts to produce new types suitable to stationary, marine and locomotive engines for a well-known German company.

In 1998 after the withdraw of the foreign proprietors the former founding Italian partners accept to continue on their own re-launching the company as O.M.C.2 S.p.A., now focused only on the stationary, marine and locomotive engines. The year after, large investments are put in to the production including renewal of machinery and upgrading to latest generation and modern production facility. The production was later expanded to 5200 square meters in 2007 in order to keep up with the market demand.
