Crankshaft deflection indicator
Most engineers know the importance of regularly checking the rectilinearity of the crankshaft on marine diesels. To use an indicator clock was time-consuming, unpleasant and dirty, and it yielded dubious measurement results. The introduction of the electronic deflection indicator by Prisma Teknik has made the task simpler and more effective and the measurement results more accurate.
The deflection indicator DI-5 is used by a large number of engineers in more than 60 countries.
Easy use, along with high reliability and accurate measurements, have made the DI-5 very popular.
The production has been going on for almost 20 years.
Many engine producers use the DI-5 to keep their own production in check.
The latest model, the DI-5C, is controlled by a micro-processor and has the capacity to store documents and transfer the information to a PC. Up to 45 documents can be stored internally in the DI-5C.
Supervisory control and adjustments of the instrument can be made, whereafter the test protocol can be transfered to the computer for comparison with earlier measurement results.

The LEMAG DI-5C electronic deflection indicator is the latest innovation in crankshaft deflection measurement. Originally the measurement was made by using a mechanical micrometer dial. This was time consuming, risky, unpleasant and dirty and a consequence these tasks were often avoided, increasing the risk of an engine break-down. The introduction of electronic deflection indicators has made the task simpler, more effective and the measurement results more accurate.
The latest development of deflection measuring, the LEMAG DI-5C, is equipped with a micro processor, which enables the user to print and download measurement results.
The LEMAG DI-5C consists of a transducer with various extension bars made of invar alloy ensuring minimal heat expansion.
For portable use the DI-5C is delivered with a strong instrument case, rechargeable batteries and a charger.

Optional ovality kit

The optional DI-5C ovality kit is designed to measure cylinder liner wear and ovality.
The standard kit enables cylinder liner measurements with diameters between 180-600 mm and stroke up to 870 mm.
Larger ovality kit sizes are also available on request.
Mechanical deflection gauge

A deflection gauge for checking distortion of crankshafts. The use of the LEMAG CONTROLmag I or II enables the user to check the bearing alignment and deflection of the crankshaft.
The robust construction and the hardened measuring tips make it possible to use the instrument on all kinds of engines.
The LEMAG CONTROLmag can also be used to measure and indicate cylinder wear. To measure cylinder wear the hardened tips can be replaced with rounded tips that are available as an option.
